Angel Wings

With over twenty years experience in the Australian fashion market, Lucy MacGill has an eye for catching trends on the way up and an intuitive understanding of what retails well in Australia.

In her formative years with Sportsgirl, Lucy developed visual merchandising strategies and tactical direction for the Sportsgirl chain nationally. Her experiences lead her to a seven year tenure with Marcs where she established the wholesale business from start-up to an annual turnover of more than $10 million. She contributed to the local branding of Diesel Jeans and was able to negotiate for ‘concept stores’ within David Jones department stores nationally.

From 2000, Lucy successfully owned the Platinum Boutique in Adelaide, South Australia. Platinum was awarded Retailer of the Year in 2004 showcasing international labels such as Diane von Furstenburg, 7 for All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Juicy Couture, Joie, Marc Jacob shoes, Paul and Joe, Odd Mollie, Danang, Rare, Nolita and Marlene Birger.

Consolidating Lucy\'s passion for fashion, Angel Wings was created as her own fashion label. Angel Wings\' first release was the Winter 09 collection.

Fashion Trend Australia Quarterly (Dec 08 – Mar 09) wrote ... \"What do you do after an extensive career as fashion retailer, buyer and stylist? Create your own fashion label, of course.\"

Years of fashion research have been put to good use with Lucy MacGill\'s traffic-stopping new label Angel Wings.
