Bec & Bridge
Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston are the dynamic and yet understated duo behind Sydney based label bec & bridge. The pair met on their first day of studying a Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Textiles at the University of Technology, Sydney. They soon became inseparable, making their way through their studies as a formidable partnership.
After graduating from University in 2003 with First Class Honours, the pair was invited by Australian Fashion Week to showcase their collection in the New Generation Show, bringing them the opportunity to officially launch bec & bridge. The collection propelled them into the limelight, winning the attention of media and buyers from around the nation.
By 2005 bec & bridge had secured their niche in the young women's market, with a growing number of boutiques across Australia retailing the new label. In 2006, Australian department store giant David Jones offered the girls a position alongside other reputable young designers on their shop floors across the country.
With a proud reputation for being Australian made and of the highest quality in make and finish, bec & bridge has a lot to offer the international market. Becky and Bridget are passionate about creating wearable pieces that are youthful, feminine, dynamic and directional. Stocked in over 70 boutiques across the country and also in New Zealand and Singapore, the girls remain zealous for their craft and excited about the possibilities their increasing publicity is affording them.
