Wayne Cooper

After leaving London's East End and his law career behind, Wayne Cooper began a new life in Australia in 1985 which ultimately led to his successful foray into the world of fashion.

Having always been fascinated with fashion, he took a job at Masons boutique in Sydney and began studying fashion design at East Sydney Technical College. After seven years in a successful fashion partnership Wayne decided to go out on his own. And so the BRAVE label was born. Jean Ferraud joined BRAVE as Creative Director and the label became renowned for its contrasting sense of rock and romantic influences.

In 1996 Wayne launched his signature label WAYNE COOPER bringing a more exclusive alternative to complement his earlier, more youthful and edgy label BRAVE.

WAYNE COOPER quickly rose to the top of the Australian fashion industry where he has stayed for the past 12 years. A veteran of Mercedes Australian Fashion Week, WAYNE COOPER boasts a following from both local and international fashionistas as well as a celebrity following including Linda Evangelista, Sarah O'Hare, Carmen Cass, and Eva Herzigova.
